Game Review: Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition

wii_resident-evil-4-wii-editionAre you even kidding me with this game?  I played it for a while this weekend while my wife and the boys were visiting her family in northeastern Arizona.  I don’t like horror movies at all, mainly because I don’t like to be scared, but I’ll tell you what, I do like a good “survival horror” game.  I had myself scared so bad that on Saturday night at 10PM (when I remembered), I couldn’t bring myself to go water the garden in the back yard.

I’m giving it a 10 out 10 on my completely imaginary and arbitrary scale of video game awesomeness.  The controls are easy to master, the puzzles aren’t overly difficult to solve and the arsenal you have available makes me cry tears of joy.  You know a game is good when it leaves a lasting impression on you.  For example, if I ever hear a chainsaw in the distance again, I will probably drop to the ground, curl up in a little ball and weep uncontrollably.  It’s that good.

The Wii update of Wii updates

Well, Nintendo finally fixed the horrendous “512MB of Wii storage space” problem last night.  With the release of the Wii System Menu 4.0, it is now possible to both use SD cards greater than 2GB (up to 32GB) and to store and launch downloaded games directly from the SD card.  This is great news since I’m down to about 90 or so blocks of internal storage.

To make this post less boring for most of you, I’ll try to get some pictures of the enhancements later since I didn’t think to snap any.

Google Image Search… you have failed me for the last time.
